Bill was an original staff member when WJML signed on December 7, 1965. He was a well known voice and personality
and he usually left right after his shift so there weren't many collaborations and he was careful to erase any work tapes
after a recording session so there aren't any goofs to post. He did provide a voice for a commercial Mort McKinny and I
did and he left us with a bonus take which I pasted on the end.
Mort McKinny did an excellent dog character and the only other voice sample I have is on the 1976 Sales Demo on the
opening JML page.
The second cut is a short clip of a doctored Paul Simon tune. When "Kodachrome" was first released Management
wouldn't let me play the record because of the word 'crap' in the lyric. Well Bill had a commercial airing for a rug cleaning
business and he used the word 'crud' in the script. After playing my edited version for a week I finally got permission to
play the uncensored record.
